After opening for Louis Tomlinson on his World Tour for a number of shows, Sun Room made a splash on the music scene. The boys- Luke Asgain, Ashton Minnich, Max Pinamonti, and Gibson Anderson- are now gaining a fanbase spanning across the world.

As a last-minute addition to their tour lineup, Sun Room added a show in Denver. Fans of the blossoming band showed up and showed out, clad in coconut bras and brightly colored Hawaiian shirts, with hints of leather and plenty of stripes, very different from the standard Colorodian apparel, nevertheless, the crowd of young fans eagerly awaited. With the Bluebird marquee lit up, Sun Room on brilliant display, a tone of pride overwhelmed the crowd. Not long ago, did I and others not know of these 4 talented boys, who have now shaken our worlds with their joyous Californian beats and easy surf-inspired chords. Their performance teleported listeners from the cramped and sweaty venue to the beach, you could almost see Santa Monica Pier in the distance with waves crashing on the shore.

The show in Denver was opened by the moss, a quirky band hailing from Utah. Their set featured gritty bass lines and a guitar that can only be described as groovy and lighthearted. With lyrics ringing of youthful experience and longing tainted by an overall upbeat tone, the moss, though just the opener, introduced themselves expertly to eager music fans. The highlight of their set was when the lead singer jumped off the stage and into the crowd, shocking fans with the intimacy as he belted out lyrics while jumping and pursuing about the floor, covered in a sheen of sweat, before jumping back on stage to join his fellow band members to close out their set in advance of Sun Room making their appearance.

As the story goes, a hushed murmur lingers amongst the crowd the seconds before the band of prime interest hits the stage. But as soon as the boys walk out, unbridled screams of pure excitement ring through the venue. It's nothing but teenage yelps begging for attention from the young musicians. The small venue quickly begins to pulsate, lights flash in hues of yellow, red, green, and blue.

Within the set of their own songs that they’ve released through the years beginning in 2020, the band played a cover of Nancy Sinatra’s These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ and Weezer’s Endless Bummer. Hits that surely engaged with all members of the audience, even with the alternative beachy twang signature to Sun Room’s sound. They also played a number of unreleased tracks, making fans excited for the future of the band. To close out the night, the boys left the stage, and after some convincing by the crowd, they came back out to play a fan favorite, Red Dress.

The night as a whole was nothing short of Fun, to play off one of the band’s track titles from their first EP ‘Sol del Sur’.

The boys are continuing on their trek across North America, bringing summer breezes and irresistible tunes to states across the nation. Continuing to cement themselves as prominent members of the ever-evolving music industry, and continuing on their quest of growing a loyal fanbase.
